  • Promoting response to mental health crises with teams of specially-trained members made up of law enforcement, criminal justice services, behavioral healthcare services, and behavioral health advocates.

  • To access a CIT (Crisis Intervention Team) officer, call 911 and explicitly state that you are experiencing a mental health crisis, requesting a CIT-trained officer to respond to your call; this will ensure a specially trained officer arrives to handle the situation with a focus on de-escalation and mental health support
