Baby Your Baby is a Utah-based program offering temporary Medicaid coverage to eligible pregnant women, ensuring access to essential prenatal care while their full Medicaid applications are processed.​

What the Program Covers

Dental Services

Prenatal Lab tests and ultra sounds

Prenatal Doctor Visits

Pregnancy-related emergency room visits

Prenatal Vitamins (with Prescription)

Note: The program does not cover labor, delivery, or hospital stays. Once full Medicaid is approved, it will cover these services.

Eligibility Requirements

To qualify, applicants must:

  • Be pregnant

  • Reside in Utah

  • Be a U.S. citizen or have been a lawful permanent resident for at least five years

  • Not currently enrolled in Medicaid, CHIP, or PCN

  • Not have received Baby Your Baby or Hospital Presumptive Eligibility for the current pregnancy

  • Meet income guidelines based on household size (including the unborn child)

    For example, as of March 1, 2025, a household of three must have a gross monthly income at or below $3,087 to qualify.

How to Apply

You can apply through:​

  • A participating Baby Your Baby provider

  • The Presumptive Eligibility Portal (PEP)

  • The Baby Your Baby Hotline at 1-800-826-9662 (Monday–Friday, 8 AM–5 PM)

    Upon approval, you'll receive a temporary Medicaid card for immediate use.
